Hi Grant,

I own a bike so I can travel far and wide in relative comfort with the
illusion that I can leave it all behind.

Slogging along rain soaked motorways for hours, or risking it all down
diesel slick, leaf covered back lanes, just to get ripped off at a road side
Cafe is not my idea of fun. Welcome to Biking in the UK from September to
May.

That said, I think we should pick a point of interest to meet. Perhaps a
race track? perhaps not, and all meet up some time soon.

I'm based in Buckingham, so Silverstone race track is just too close to make
it a good ride out for me.

Any other suggestions.

Regards,

David

"with out some poor sod travelling for hours"

Isn't that the reason you OWN a bike - so you can travel.
