Gotta disagree, Henry--I just got back from London late last night. The whole time I was there, they spoke English well enough to get by. I could understand them and they could understand me. Indeed, the folks in Merry Olde seem to have mastered English better than most countries in the world, except maybe Canada. And of course the good ol' USA.
