As a corporate lawyer, I'm not good with math, but 1,662 mi. in 24 hrs. would be an amazing 69.25 mph. Let's see, given time for gas stops, food, 4 leaks and a duke . . . I'm guessing your average riding speed must have been . . . 110 mph? JK!
Roger, you still got the FZ1? And I still need one! Damn, it pains me to see that you still have it, b/c I still want it! Problem is, my better half doesn't see the wisdom in a 3rd motorcycle. I'm so conflicted. Then there is oil consumption. In October, I ran a 24 hour endurance rally in New Mexico. I rode 1662 miles in that 24 hour period--you do the math to figure how fast I might have been riding. By the time I got home, I had about 4,000 miles on that oil change and had not burned a drop. As most of us know, the GTS would have been an entirely different story.
