An easy way to see if your rectifier-regulator is working ( ie battery is being charged ) is to start the bike , put the main lights on , and as you rev it watch the lights , if they get brighter from idle , your bike is getting some charge. Or use a multi-meter and check battery voltage . Was the spark from the plugs ok when the engine died ?
