After thinking on it a while, I came to the same conclusion very quickly. At my frustration level @ the time, the absurdity of hearing "flown" and "2-3 weeks" in the same sentence, (especially when the shop in question had been informed of the parts needed and the potential of delay and still chose to wait until the mechanic reached in the parts bin before even checking on the availability of the needed part) just caused me to throw out a smartass remark in the heat of discussion. I hope no one on the list assumed that the part was "flying" for 2 weeks--if so, I apologize. FL Kev RSR is still my hero...
