There maybe a much easier way. Kisan Technology makes a replacement flasher unit for many bikes...Yamaha too. I put one on my RT-P. Gives you auto-canceling flasher and 4 ways. It's about $99, though somebody hear mentioned that if you called and Asked for Andy, told him you are a lister, he'd give it to you for less ($89??).
