No surprises here...the GTS does it in about 3.8 secs versus about the 3.3 secs (from memory) Motorcyclist obtained. But the GTS is still no slouch in top gear roll-ons...still faster than a lot of current sportbikes...some examples, Ducati 996, ST4s, MV Agusta F4, Honda RC51, VFR800, GSXR750 and every 600 sportbike...check out http://www.motorcyclistonline.com/performancedata/ for more data...

I thought it was an excellent idea, so we found a good open stretch of interstate and did three 60-80 roll-on runs. Drum roll please...... the FJR pulled strongly ahead. The race was over in four car lenghts. I guess that just proves , there's no replacement for displacement. I was however proud of my GTS with 52k on it, box stock, pulled so well. When the time comes for a necessary rebuild I plan to do whatever I can to increase performance with no loss of bottom and midrange power, nor loss of reliability.
