The pithy ruminations from "Loss, Joe" on
<Slip-on exhaust cans> were:
=> Those of you that have tried slip-on cans, any feedback on the pros and
=> cons?
=>
=> I believe the Vance and Hines SSR2 can for a YZF 750 bolts right on. Do they
=> clear the Krauser panniers?

I don't know about that particular muffler. I put an M4 carbon-fiber muffler
(intended for a Honda 600F2) on GTS^1.

The pros:
        immediate replacement for the stock muffler that fell off while getting
        onto a highway

        lighter weight

        nice sound (not too loud)

        the bike "feels" slightly more powerful, but since I haven't dyno'ed it
        before or after, it's almost certainly subjective*

The cons:
        it cost about $25 to have the local muffler shop make up a connecting
        pipe and weld on a "stop" for the centerstand to match the stock pipe.

* Spend enough $$ on any aspect of the bike, and it'll feel better!

Mark
