Tom,

Regarding OEM parts, many of us mail order from Zanotti Motors; their prices
are about 30% under the local dealers, even when you add in the cost of
shipping.

Consult the manual or microfiche for specific part numbers and then e-mail
John at [EMAIL PROTECTED] for price and availability.

Hope this helps.

Subject: chain, sprocket, brakes

I have been searching the archives for information on
chain and sprocket upgrades/replacement and have a few
questions. I have found that it is common to convert
from the 532 to the 530 chain and sprockets. I have
also found that we need a front sprocket with 17
teeth, a rear with 47 teeth and a chain with 118
links. DID seems to be a commonly used brand so I am
thinking a DID 530 X-ring chain shich should be easy
enough to find. My problem is the sprockets. If I look
for GTS sprockets they all show 532. Do I look for
FZR1000 sprockets with the required teeth numbers?
Anybody have recommended brands or on-line stores to
purchase from? I think I am also going to purchase a
Hawker oiler to keep it all lubed up.
Next I will need to be replacing my brakes. Are there
as many different pad vendors and types as in the auto
industry? What is recommended, just whatever I can get
at the dealer? Or is there some place on-line that has
them cheaper and/or better quality?

One more request, are there any motorcycle parts web
sites that are preferred? I am going to guess that
there arent really any stores that specialize in GTS
parts so what is the next best thing?

Thanks for taking the time to read my newbie to the
list questions.

Tom
