Rob's point about the distance is well taken, however Black Canyon
is stunning.  If I take the shorter day, I'll probably take my wife
Susan (who's going to spend the weekend in Denver with her
sister), home to Canada backtracking thru Black Canyon.  If we
don't hit BC in the group ride, I'd recommend anyone heading back
that way take the side trip on the south rim on your way home.
