I don't think that is true, or at least it shouldn't be. If you "End
Chat" from the menu option while viewing a chat, it should delete all of
the messages and media associated with that chat.

I have also considered whether we should allow specific messages to be
deleted, in case someone sends something you don't want to keep around
for various reasons. That would be done by swiping or long pressing on a
message.

@Silvio - do you see the "end chat" option?
