should we have a “Commercial Support” section on
the web site, maybe linked from<https://guix.gnu.org/en/help/>?

I'm in strong favor for this!

I've created a PR that adds a commercial section [0]. I've added Guixotic,
Guix-hosting and System Crafters, but it'd be nice to add more. I've
based the design on <https://nixos.org/community/commercial-support/>,
but I do not have a JS randomizer for the business cards. I think we can
punt on that one and use the upcoming CSS random() function when it gets
implemented everywhere.

I think the rough guidelines we discussed in the past was: business
entities should be either individuals, nonprofits or worker
cooperatives.

Let me know what you think!

I actually like the idea and after talking with Janneke, I'd like ElenQ to be listed there.

Maxim, should I add a patch on top of yours, or how do you want me to handle it?

Also, I'd want to encourage people that is listed there to donate to Guix part of the income obtained from being listed there. I believe that's the fairest thing to do. I shouldn't say how much, or what should the process be, but I believe that should be encouraged. And we should try to push those who hire us to do Guix work to donate to Guix directly.

Specially in those cases where the work doesn't really affect Guix directly. I'm thinking here about private guix channels, or things that cannot be upstreamed for license reasons and so on.

None of this makes sense if Guix is not financially stable.

Best,
Ekaitz
