the branches are supposed to be deleted after merging, since otherwise it becomes difficult to distinguish branches that have been merged from branches that have just been abandoned. And then you can recreate them at any time for new work. I would suggest to call the branch r-team to be in line with the other branches. Thanks, Andreas
