Hello all Guix teams!
I’m preparing the blog post for the 1.5.0 release.
It would be great if you could send me your proudest team
accomplishments that happened since the last release (december
2022). I’d be glad to
include them in the post :)
Here’s some stuff I’ve contributed, and some other stuff I
haven’t, but things I think are good and worth highlighting:
- The IceCat browser has been updated from a 102.5.0 preview
release to the 140.6.0 release.
- Ungoogled Chromium has been updated from 107.0.5304.121 to
140.0.7339.207.
- The LibreWolf web browser is now available in Guix.
- There’s a new autofs-service-type allowing auto-mounting of
network resources and/or local disks.
- Python has been updated from 3.9 to 3.11.
- Emacs has been updated from 28.2 to 30.2.
- Shepherd now has the ability to run scheduled tasks.
- Linux-Libre has been updated from 6.0.10 to 6.17.12.
- Nearly 9,000 new packages have been added, and Guix now contains
over 30,000 total packages (1.4.0: 21,759; current master:
30,744).
Might also be nice to mention the number of new committers since
1.4.0 and the total number.
