I actually had little or nothing to do with this happening, but I am
excited about it:

The update from glibc 2.33(?) to 2.41(?) brings with it the C.utf8
locale (originally added upstream in 2.35)!

Seems like a more reasonable default for most "generic" systems than,
say, en_US.utf8, given international nature of the Guix project... (I
may have done so much as convince someone to switch to C.utf8 in the
installer :)

(I leave all the question marks because I am not entirely sure which
version is the default glibc in guix currently or in the past, but I
know it currently supports C.utf8 so guix is at least defaulting to 2.35
or newer)
