I could ask in the > Zulip development community whether this kind of use case is possible. Just to complement my previous message, the email integration page of Zulip[1] leads me to believe that this bidirectional workflow is supported. I quote: --8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8--- Setup instructions for email users If you want to interact with Zulip primarily (or entirely) via your email client: * Instructions for all platforms 1 Subscribe to any channels you are interested in. 2 Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner of the web or desktop app. 3 Select Personal settings. 4 On the left, click Notifications. 5 In the Notification triggers table, make sure both of the checkboxes under Email are checked. 6 Close the Zulip window. Zulip does not send email notifications while you are actively engaging with the web application. New Zulip messages will now be delivered to your email account. You can reply directly to the emails coming from Zulip, and your replies will be posted in the appropriate topic or direct message conversation on Zulip. --8<---------------cut here---------------end--------------->8--- [1] https://zulip.com/integrations/email Best regards, Sergio
