Hi Hugo, Hugo Buddelmeijer via "Development of GNU Guix and the GNU System distribution." <[email protected]> skribis:

I think what we all have in common, those of us who participated in the discussion, is that we care about Guix. We have different views on what’s a good trajectory for Guix, but we care about it. So I think that if we act in good faith and assume good faith from one another, we can effect changes—maybe not our preferred change, but something that works reasonably well for all. > I believe our project to be way to small to permit ourselves the > luxury of an AI policy that is much stricter than other projects. Respectfully, I think you’ve been proven wrong by Guix-CRAN, by Nixpkgs, etc. We have to be humble and learn from these experiences. None of this can be described as “package maintenance by hand”. Plus, having contributed to ‘guix refresh’ and to some of the importers/updaters, I find this kind of work pretty fun and challenging. Join the fun! :-) Cheers, Ludo’.
