Au contraire, Hugo, not for you. Maybe. The author has stated his
interpretation that the "will not use genAi" commitment takes
precedence over the remainder of the document. The author has also
stated the contrary, and even proposed wording that would make clear
that the policy for contributions permissions are universal.

So we find ourselves at or near the end of the discussion period with
a document that essentially permanently preserves the status quo. You
say

but this unhappiness is one-sided, as seen with the sturm and drang
around some minor use of an LLM when interacting with the project. I
agree with the GCD that AI should be sandboxed, but this was a
simulation of harm.

However, if this proposal convinces the restrictivists that the
project has completely banned the use of AI while others continue to
google build errors and bugs, keeping LLMs in the closet, if the
ambiguity is necessary to preserve the community, well done Ludo'.
