Welcome, glad to have you here. > The experience from my first PR`s with package updates is, > that I > noticed almost all of them getting some activity, but would > have > expected things like browser updates that contain fixes for > public CVE's > to be merged quicker First of all, Thank you for contributing those pr for librewolf really appreciate it. But the thing you got activity sooner because a reviewer/team member (in this case) decided to take the look, its not because its browser or security fixes honestly. > In general I noticed what seemed to me quite a few open PR's > some of > them aging slowly day by day. Well pastor, cnx, enge have already said all the things needed so I don't want to pile on it but the biggest bottleneck is our infra currently. > I hope this does not come across as criticism. No, We always welcome creative criticism :) and as a member of community team I really value newcomer's perspective. > Really what I am curious about is this: > * Do you guys in general share the value of up to date > software? > * If yes, is there anything I as a newcomer could do to > help us achieve > this shared value? > * What are your thoughts on this? Last but not the least I would like to mention Guix is an inclusive, We have people from every background, colors. So I would like to advise you to not use exclusive terms such as `guys` because not everyone is a `guy`. "everyone", "folks", "all" would be better and I understand that you didn't mean it in that sense and as a non-native English speaker (I am) it can be hard. English is hard :P. Welcome to GUIX!!!
