Bridge, A Necessity

THIS has reference to the news item published in the NT edition dated October 21 pertaining to eco-tourism at Chorao. It is very easy to say that it will attract the tourists. Our government doesnt take any interest in the welfare of Chorao people. We made several requests to our MLA to take steps for building a bridge linking Chorao to Ribander. But our requests seem to be fallen on deaf years. Instead of building a bridge, the government is planning to start a bird sanctuary to attract the tourists. I request our Chief Minister, Mr Parrikar to build a bridge in Chorao.

OLIVIA FERNANDES, Ribander
