-Our Correspondent/www.mangalorean.com Kuwait, Nov 16: It was a scintilating evening at Gulf English School auditorium, Rumaithiya, where Mangaloreans were given real treat of Konkani Music, dance, jokes and drama, as DARBAR 2004 was unfolded, organized by Konkan Talents, Kuwait. Jam packed audience were glued to their seats, as well known singers from Kuwait, led by Gratian D�Souza, one after the other gave their performance. Gratian D�souza, Lancy Rodrigues, Jossy D�cunha, Lolita Rodrigues, Rony D�cunha, Vishwas Rebimbus, Riya, Saritha, and Kavitha Noronha mesmerized the crowd with their melodious voices. Eddie Sequiera, coming all the way from Qatar, compered the musical show with his usual witting manner, kept the crowd on it toes throughout the show. It was a non-stop entertainment all the way. While the beautiful voices of Kuwait sang, students of Ballerines School of Dance, danced to the tunes. Our own Jason Lasrado was the co-compere. New music CD by Gratian D�souza, dedicated to his loving daughter late Avita and beloved friend late Benet Pinto was released on this occasion by Fr. Melwyn D�cunha. Felicitations were made to Mr. Stany Lobo (Manu-Bahrain), renowned Konkani writer and Mr. Eddie Sequiera, renowned Konkani actor, writer and compere, Tribal dance was performed by Kiran Sequiera & group. The feather in the crown was the drama, �Tem, Tho ani Havn�, played by Johney Suratkal, Lancy Rodrigues and Lavina. The play was written by late Cha.Fra, D�Costa, theme by Eddie Sequiera and Directed by Lancy Rodrigues. It was a wholesome entertainment to the people gathered in full numbers in spite of it being a unfortunate working day.
