Hello Goans,

Please correct me if I am wrong but I think a kind of Identity Voting card already is in place and I know a lot of money was spend on that project, but it was quiet a mess and a failure as there were so many mistakes in the card as in photo, name, date of birth etc etc.

Now if this card already exists why do then need to have another card, can the CM justify the same or is it that he has suddenly come out of his sleep n isn’t aware of what Goa already has or has he got some grants from the company that designs these cards ?? The point made of having microchip cards when they couldn’t successfully create normal cards I think is simply out of question but if he can guarantee the same and be held accountable for the same he should go ahead with it... But one thing I agree on is that goans who are abroad should also have this card.

Also we the youth abroad should automatically be enrolled in the voting list so that if we are there during the elections we have the right to vote. Because even if your name exists in the ration card and you are of age you are not entitled to vote in Goa unless u are registered as a voter. Now can anyone tell me why should we specially register ourselves as voters? Isn’t it our right to vote? If proof is needed we have our passports which clearly mention our age and permanent residence. So I think if the person is above the legal age of voting and had concrete documents to prove the same he she should be allowed to vote and automatically included in the electoral roll.

Another thing that we have to enforce is have our great Chief Ministers and his cabinet give a statement every month or 3 months of their goals for that period and what success or failure they have had in achieving those goals. It’s so foolish to see that some of our great ministers have no clue of the portfolio they hold yet they are given the portfolio…..only for their own selfish goals…does the CM ever justify what portfolio is given to who and the reason behind it or is it that our ministers are so talented that that can handle anything and everything given to them?

It is a known fact that quiet a high percentage of call center employees are Goan youth. What steps has the CM taken to keep this youth in Goa itself n employ them in their own state. Also I think the IT policy is still pending ( please correct me on this if I am wrong ) for the state but its nice to know that certain big companies have stepped into Goa, this will be a big boost for the goans youths as a whole......

These are just my views......all comments/ corrections on the same are welcome

Regards to all,

@lton

It is a good sign of relief finally that Goan identity would prevail in Goa
and outside Goa. This is the good idea sought by the Chief Minister of Goa
Mr. Pratap Singh Rane. Immediately, it should be implemented without any
delay in what so ever. Data will show who you are and your original
nationality. Whether you live in Goa or outside Goa like India, Middle East,
Gulf, Africa, Asia, Europe and America, automatically it will show who you
are Goans or non-goans around the globe.

This idea should be implemented long time ago to wipe out the infidel who
are destroying the peace and harmony of Goa and the Goans living thereof.
Without wasting any time, the Goa Assembly should adopt the Mult-purpose
Cards with immediate effect. It will also show non-goans who migrated in Goa
when and where from.

This Multi-purpose cards will benefit not only for Medications or other
purposes, but for smooth voting in elections such as, Panchayat elections,
Municipality elections, Assembly elections etc., employments in-land and
overseas job vacancies.

It will also benefit for dual citizenship of other countries in the world
for example: Portuguese, etc. This Multi-purpose cards should link a general
informations for any category in the data bank.
