This is a weekly posting with GURPS vehicles (and the like) to the
GURPSnet mailing list. I grant the permission for all non-commercial
redistribution of my work, but I would like to know if you put it on
a website or the like. With a slight delay, old vehicles appear
at http://omeyer.gmxhome.de/GURPSnet_files/summary.html

Self-Propelled Trebuchet v1.0 (TL7 7/8th)
  Copyright 2006 by Onno Meyer

Trebuchets are great for battering down castles, but they are hardly
mobile. Moving an assembled trebuchet into firing range can be just as
risky as building one under the eyes of the enemy. The self-propelled
trebuchet is the solution to all these problems.
With a 640 kW diesel engine and a fully tracked chassis, the SPT can
deal with fields, unimproved roads and small ditches. The fire control
system consists of a ballistic computer, a laser rangefinder and GPS,
inertial navigation and conventional navigation systems for accurate,
aimed fire within seconds of a halt. The datalink system can tie into
the battery fire control net.
The SPT carries six crew (commander, driver, radio operator, gunner
and two loaders) under armor and NBC protection. 27 assistant loaders
are required to operate the trebuchet - they will have to ride in the
ammo trucks or march on foot.
At routine travel speed, the engine burns 22.4 gallons of diesel per
hour. A full load of fuel and ammunition is $1,920.
