vk here

vk is my e-mail sign-- Victor is my name.
Since Hal is getting all sentimental, and Hal is one of my favorite people on
this listserve, I thought I'd get into the act.

5-7 170#, still fairly cut at 40. Avid martial artist (studied since age 16--
hapkido, kali, some JKD, Western boxing, and for the past 9 years kung fu (Chen
and Yang Tai Chi, Wing Chun, and a smattering of Ba Gua)). Love Star Trek,
Sci-fi in general, and epic fantasy. RPG interests are 80% epic fantasy, 10%
sci-fi (mostly as a technophile) and 10% Supers. I'm a healthcare professional
with an interest and "expertise" in biomechanical analysis-- even collaborate
on some research at the local University of Oregon. A closet physics geek (and
mathematics geek to understand the physics-- anyone *really* good at tensors?
I'm still working on those...)

I love football, and the only thing I really don't like about Hal is that he
lives in Buffalo, home of the Bills, in the same division as my beloved
Dolphins. I went to school in Cambridge, Mass for undergraduate (no, the other
major school there), but still hate the Patriots with a passion.

Married, 2 beautiful girls (why do you think I keep practicing martial arts?
Boyfriends. Seriously. Well, it's fascinating biomechanically, as well, and
it's cool.)

I've got Bad Temper, Squeamishness, Intolerance (Injustice as well as
Discrimination) and probably Bloodlust as disadvantages (good thing nobody's
*really* tried to mess with me, because one of us would be dead). Oh, and
Acrophobia, as well. A tad of Gentleman's Code of Honor, too, but if we're in
a duel, I'm shooting first.

On that rousing note, I'd second Hal's sentiment of warmth, but it's been
pretty cool lately (yes, I recognize the irony of the idiom),

Regards,

-vk
