I'm working on a character for a TL4 fantasy game with Addiction:
Tobacco. The sample writeup in Basic Set lists it as a Cheap addiction,
but these levels are based on starting Wealth, and starting wealth
changes dramaticaly between TL4 and TL8...
How much tobacco would one expect a moderate pipe smoker to actually
consume over the course of a day?
A bit of confused browsing on the 'net found references to 50g tobacco
pouches for "tuck in your pocket and go" portable smoking accessories
(unlike 1kg canesters), but I really don't know how long a smoker would
expect one of these pouches to last - one 'outing', a whole day, a week...
I'm trying to get a ballpark to see if this is really a "cheap"
addiction at TL4, and how much a weeks supply of tobacco is going to run
my character (and how much it'll weigh!).
