Let's not confuse things...female mosquitoes DO eat
blood, in the sense that they need to metabolize a
source of protein for egg production. But the blood
doesn't just "lie there" and gets stuffed inside eggs.
It gets metabolized, and the metabolic products used
to make eggs.
