This is a weekly posting with GURPS vehicles (and the like) to the GURPSnet mailing list. I grant the permission for all non-commercial redistribution of my work, but I would like to know if you put it on a website or the like. My site is down for rebuilding, but sooner or later the old stuff should reappear at omeyer.gmxhome.de Onno Meyer, 2008-06-23
Modified Biomech Tender v1.0 (TL7-16) Copyright 2008 by Onno Meyer In the distant future, only artifacts remain of the enigmatic Masters who ruled the galaxy. Centuries of wear, tear, and the death of biomech components have degraded most relics -- like this Tender, which retains none of the original biomechanical components ... The former worldship Tender is now used for in-system operations. Her hull, thrusters, and power plant remain, but the zero point power plant has become unsafe over 40% of nominal power. A fusion reactor and four isotope batteries cover most of the shortfall, and the deflector field can be powered for four minutes by a rechargeable power cell. The rear part of the cargo hold has been fitted with cabins and hydroponics for long interplanetary flights. Some of the remaining cargo hold has been reinforced to carry heavy ground vehicles, and a small hangar holds an OTV or two. Subassemblies: Body +11, Superstructure +6, two Pods +7. Powertrain: Two 28,800,000-lb. TL12 vectored super reactionless thrusters; four 2,000-kW TL9 RTGs; 1,500,000-kW TL10 fusion reactor; 3,600,000-kW TL16 cosmic power plant; 81,000,000-kWs TL9 rechargeable power cell.
