So to have a place to live if Earth goes bad, will be space and
stations, or living on a rock with out a protective shield so we
would likely be living underground alot? Or far enough from the
sun so the solar winds is not as dangerous, or how about one of
the moons of Jupiter or Saturn or where else?

An idea would be a small pluto like planet, that we send into
space? Much like "Space 1999" but ..

Actually, I've been contemplating the fact that Mars and Venus
do NOT have magnetic fields to protect them, and what that means
for colonization. Is it even possible to Terraform either planet
into a environment we can live in? From what I understand the
problem with both planets is their cores are not molton and
spinning (or so scientists think). Without a magnetic field,
there is no protection from solar winds, and both have little
tectonic movement. I've read that in Venus's case, it's like a
siezed engine. In Mar's case, there's not enough gravity to hold
onto the atmosphere, and without the protective magnetic field
it gets blown away.

In my Mutants and Masterminds campaign, I have a secret
organization recruiting people with powers to control earth,
weather, magnetic fields, etc. to help restart Mar's core ala
The Core movie.

But is there any real science about how to do this? Can it be
done?
