One other key feature is the very large spinal gravity mount. This
allows the ship to work as "asteroid tug" and "super-crane". It also
has the extra hardware to work as a gravity beam weapon using the
same power. If the ship hits you with this, you KNOW you've "been
kissed". The energy phasing force lenses make this more versatile.

In Traveller, spinal mounts were built into the hull so they could
only fire along the axis of the ship. Are you sure about your wording
here?

Yes, I'm sure that those spinal mounts are what I intended. The energy phasing surface takes the place of a turret, therefore letting you build MUCH bigger energy weapons.

Reason for the Season:
16 chrysallis machines: 2 elephant, 2 cow, 12 human
512x512x512 main nano-fac tank (big enough to build an /Arleigh/
/Burke/-class DDG in the tank)

I still think the ratio between 'crew/medical' and 'hardware' is off.
The nanofactories dwarf the medical section.

I think it is more likely that people will need hardware items during disaster relief or colonization than biological "manufacturing". Those items are likely to be quite large. But doubling the current number/type of bio-tanks is not that big a deal. Also, if you need more chrysallis machines, you can just MAKE them.
