Your terms obsolete and junk are sort of funny to me. If you have a tool to do a job and that tool does the job then is it junk? Is it obsolete? A 1990 computer can do a lot. Think what was done even with a computer from the 60s. In some ways the new computers are junk. They use a lot of power just to run a word processors that the older computers would run just fine for most users. True there have been some improvements in efficiency and it is easier to import but is it always better? What if you have a conflict with the land that makes your computers and you have no back ups?
