Walked thru the Ardenne, and its hilly, dense trees and roads are limited.
Bulge was more than just the classic fuel and resistance. Honestly much of it was that the German soldiers was tired of fighting. No disrespect to the Bastards of Bastogne and like, but by the Ardenne the German army was tired. And hitler insisting on putting his new tanks up front versus the faster, smaller, more maneuverable panthers and like up front, was a tactical mistake.. Move fast thru the woods, and then come. Doing recon and logisitics grabs with heavy tanks often does not work.. Should have done it with Skorny or like forces and not how it seemed to have ended up.. True, the bridges work both way with tanks and all.. It also helps the logistics chains.. Mecha, are complex and need maintenance and like a Tiger II are complex and until they are done with Beta and like testings, only will get people killed, but once they are fully tested, then will see.. Love to see some gladiator or like combat between Mecha from both sides... Sword to Sword, but .. Terrein masking, yes same as for tanks.. Its how the Germans Panthers did so well, they know how to hide themselves and do ambushes.
