A couple things for those of you unfamiliar with my 25-point character posts.
First, they are not full characters, I know I have to change or ignore most of
the detailed background given for published characters, so I figured others
might do the same. By keeping the writeups minimal, it should make it easier to
drop into a campaign. I also don't give personal names for the characters;
you'd likely have to change them for your fantasy and scifi campaigns and any
reasonable modern name is probably already in use ;) (I once got an email from
a woman who had Googled her name and one of my characters came up as a hit ...)

Here are five modern horror-related NPCs.
----------------
Jane the Medium
Setting: Modern

ST: 10 [0]; DX: 10 [0]; IQ: 12 [20]; HT: 10 [0]

Advantages: Medium [10]; Reputation +2 (with occultists) [5]; Sensitive [5]

Spirit Lore-13 [4]; Theology (Eschatology)-11 [2]

Languages: English-12 [0]

Notes: This NPC is a self-professed "animus venator". For a slightly lower-tech
character, replace Computer Operation with Typing. Aside from her obvious uses
as an NPC, she be be used as a hook to get the party involved in an adventure.
---------------------
Joe the Grave Digger
Setting: Modern

ST: 13 [30]; DX: 11 [10]; IQ: 9 [-10]; HT: 10 [0]

Singing-11 [2]; Stealth-12 [4]; Two-Handed Axe/Mace-10 [1]

Languages: English-9 [0]; Spanish-8 [1]

Notes: This rather imposing and freakish NPC is neither evil nor especially
violent. While he can certainly provide a fright for a party early in an
adventure, he could prove to be a valuable ally later. His Area Knowledge skill
assumes he works in an old and/or large graveyard.
--------------------

total) [30]

Disadvantages: Cowardice [-10]; Impulsiveness [-10]

Skills: Administration-10 [1]; Accounting-9 [1]; Economics-9 [1]; Merchant-10
