This is a weekly posting with GURPS vehicles (and the like) to the
GURPSnet mailing list. I grant the permission for all non-commercial
redistribution of my work, but I would like to know if you put it on
a website or the like. The files at omeyer.gmxhome.de are down until
I fix the automatic PDF generation, which should be one of these
days - see sourceforge.net/projects/gurpsml

Space Force Cargo Lander Mk.VIII, Vehicles Version v1.0 (TL15)
Copyright 2011 by Onno Meyer
The Cargo Lander is carried by interstellar craft for ship to ship and
orbit to surface travel. The Lander has a boxy hull with a 32' by 16' by
8' cargo hold, and a small cockpit with a tiny airlock in front. A force
screen provides streamlining during atmospheric operations. The nominal
payload is 40 tons, but the lander could carry much heavier loads.
Subassemblies: Body +6.
Powertrain: Two 2,000,000-lb. vectored mega reactionless thrusters; four

Design Notes
Body is 5,000 cf, with heavy compartmentalization and underbelly
skids. Structure is heavy, standard, robotic. Armor is standard metal.
Sealed. Computerized controls with duplicate maneuver controls. 3.6 cf
empty space. Empty weight is 120,000 lbs.
The vehicle uses the design rules from Vehicles [second edition, third
printing, December '09 errata], VXi and VXii (including the armor volume
rule) with the text format from Vehicles Lite.
Space Force Cargo Lander Mk.VIII, Spaceships Version v1.0 (TL12^)
Design 2011 by Kenneth Peters, color text 2011 by Onno Meyer
The Cargo Lander is carried by interstellar craft for ship to ship and
orbit to surface travel. The Lander has a boxy hull with a 32' by 16' by
8' cargo hold, and a small cockpit with a tiny airlock in front. A force
screen provides streamlining during atmospheric operations. The nominal
payload is 40 tons, but the lander could carry much heavier loads.
It has a unstreamlined 100-ton (SM +6) hull about 60 feet long.
Systems Table
Front Hull System
[1-2] Advanced Metallic Laminate Armor (total dDR 14).
[3] Enhanced Array (comm/sensor 9).
[4-5] Cargo Holds (5 tons capacity each).
[6!] Light Force Screen (dDR 50).
[core] Control Room (C9 computer, comm/sensor 7, and two control
stations).
Central Hull System
[1-2] Advanced Metallic Laminate Armor (total dDR 14).
[3-6] Cargo Holds (5 tons capacity each).
