This is a weekly posting with GURPS vehicles (and the like) to the GURPSnet mailing list. I grant the permission for all non-commercial redistribution of my work, but I would like to know if you put it on a website or the like. The files at omeyer.gmxhome.de are down until I fix the automatic PDF generation, which should be one of these days - see sourceforge.net/projects/gurpsml Onno Meyer, 2011-08-08
300mm Hyperspace Torpedo v1.0 (TL11) Copyright 2011 by Onno Meyer The Hyperspace Torpedo mounts a powerful sublight thruster and a small stardrive for insystem microjumps. Usually the targeting data comes from the launch platform, and the torpedo makes a single hyperspace jump of a few AU. The torpedo can be programmed for terminal homing with active or passive seekers, or for instant detonation -- less accurate, but harder to intercept with point defense systems. The power cell lasts for 15 hours at standby levels. Each minute at full thrust reduces this endurance by 10 minutes, and each hyperspace entry costs 30 minutes. Subassemblies: Body +1. Powertrain: 20,000-lb. super reactionless thruster; 0.5-ton hyperdrive; 2.5-ton contragrav generator; 5,400,000-kWs power cell.
