This is a weekly posting with GURPS vehicles (and the like) to the GURPSnet mailing list. I grant the permission for all non-commercial redistribution of my work, but I would like to know if you put it on a website or the like. The files at omeyer.gmxhome.de are down until I fix the automatic PDF generation, which should be one of these days - see sourceforge.net/projects/gurpsml Onno Meyer, 2012-07-16
Light Transport Mk.IX v1.0 (TL16) Copyright 2012 by Onno Meyer The Light Transport carries a couple of interstellar merchants to the stars, to profit and adventure. The Mark IX is equipped with a teleport system for fast loading and unloading -- she will often hyper out again an hour or two after emergence. The starship is divided into a crew section in front, a cargo section in the center, and an engine room in the rear. The typical crew are one pilot, one copilot, and some maintenance and cargo drones, so there is room for two to four passengers as well, or perhaps for a purser. It takes 8.4 hours to recharge the power cell for one hyperspace entry. Subassemblies: Body +7. Powertrain: Four 125,000-lb. super reactionless thrusters; 1,500-ton hyperdrive; two 500,000-lb. contragrav generators; 100-kW RTG; two 50,000-kW total conversion reactors; 540,000,000-kWs rechargeable power cell. Structure is heavy, standard. Armor is standard composite. Sealed. Computerized controls with duplicate maneuver controls. 124.75 cf of empty space. Empty weight is 96,000 lbs. The vehicle uses the design rules from Vehicles [second edition, third printing, July 2010 errata], VXi and VXii (including the armor volume rule) with the text format from Vehicles Lite. Next Week: A much bigger TL10 transport. _______________________________________________ GurpsNet-L mailing list <[email protected]> http://mail.sjgames.com/mailman/listinfo/gurpsnet-l
