This is a weekly posting with GURPS vehicles (and the like) to the
GURPSnet mailing list. I grant the permission for all non-commercial
redistribution of my work, but I would like to know if you put it on
a website or the like. The files at omeyer.gmxhome.de are down until
I fix the automatic PDF generation, which should be one of these
days - see sourceforge.net/projects/gurpsml

Bulk Transport Mk.VI v1.0 (TL13)
  Copyright 2012 by Onno Meyer

The Bulk Transport hauls large loads over interstellar distances. The
Mark VI uses tractor beams to secure containers within the force screen
envelope, for maximum flexibility and rapid turnarounds.
The forward section of the starship contains the bridge and a shuttle
hangar. The crew quarters and the hyperdrive are in the middle, and the
engines and power plants are in the rear. The tractor beam emitters are
arranged in two complete rings of sixteen and a half ring of eight, to
allow access to the hangar and vision from the bridge.
It takes 46 hours to recharge the power cells for one hyperspace
entry.

Subassemblies: Body +10.
Powertrain: Six 10,000,000-lb. super reactionless thrusters; 450,000-ton
hyperdrive; four 150,000,000-lb. contragrav generators; four
2,000,000-kW fusion reactors; 163,800,000,000-kWs rechargeable power

Design Notes
Body is 1,000,000 cf. Structure is extra-heavy, cheap. Armor is cheap
metal. Sealed. Computerized controls with quadruple maneuver controls.
219,768 cf of empty space. Empty weight is 19,200,000 lbs.
The vehicle uses the design rules from Vehicles [second edition, third
printing, July 2010 errata] and VXii (including the armor volume rule)
with the text format from Vehicles Lite.

120,000-Gallon Bulk Liquid Container v1.0 (TL13)
  Copyright 2012 by Onno Meyer

Large containers help interstellar craft to reduce the time they spend
in orbit. This one holds 455 cubic meters of liquid cargo, often organic
compounds or unrefined hydrocarbons. Many liquids are relatively dense,
so the Bulk Liquid Container is shorter than other cargo containers.

Subassemblies: Body +7.

Armor F RL B T U
Body: 4/20 4/20 4/20 4/20 4/20

Equipment:
Body: Six 20,000-gallon light tanks. External: Radiation shielding.

Statistics
Size: 50'x20'x20' Payload: 480 tons Lwt.: 500 tons
Volume: 20,000 cf Maint.: 6 man-hours Price: $1,537,500

HT: 7. HPs: 7,500 Body

Design Notes
Body is 20,000 cf. Structure is medium, standard. Armor is standard
composite. Sealed. 1,987.5 cf of empty space. Empty weight is 40,000
lbs.
The vehicle uses the design rules from Vehicles [second edition, third
printing, July 2010 errata] and VXii (including the armor volume rule)
with the text format from Vehicles Lite.

Next Week: A TL14 ship with a large docking bay.
