Hello Eric,

I don't think so. 1,000 cf for a cabin and a 'slice' of the
mess and galley are merely "reasonable" for a modern ship,
not true luxury. (There are some 2,200 cf of empty space per
person as well, but that isn't all in the quarters.)

The forcefield of the ship extends over the containers. So
meteorites or collisions in flight are no issue. When it
comes to loading accidents, I'm not so sure I'd want to
mix my liquid cargo with the sealant glop. I'm thinking
of large gleaming tanks of orange juice or olive oil, not
just crude oil or lubricants.

But most important, the container already takes a 4% bite
out of the payload capacity. Self-sealing tanks would
make it 7%.

Regards,
Onno
