Well, what are the key ingredients for a James Bond?

A gentleman with a stiff upper lip, not one of those
colonial bumpkins with crude humor.

Working for a former global power, which still has
pretensions of worldwide meddling. The Yanks send
the 82nd Airborne, the Brits send Commander Bond.
Guess who solves the problem more neatly.

A naval officer, by definition a gentleman.

Refined tastes. Shaken, not stirred, and definitely
not beer.

With all that style, he'll definitely get the girl
in the end. No matter if she is Soviet, American,
or some other nationality.

A steampunk Bond would probably work for the British
Empire. Can that work?

A science fiction Bond could probably find some Space
Britain.

Regards,
Onno
