Temeraire series by Naomi Novik? If so, I enjoyed it as well. Napoleonics with

Crew for the dragons was about half-dozen when fighting (depending on size of 
dragon) plus support crew. I forget the exact numbers given, but I believe the 
total crew for each dragon was a little more than a dozen people.

Then you would have the normal ship's crew.
