This is a weekly posting with GURPS vehicles (and the like) to the GURPSnet mailing list. I grant the permission for all non-commercial redistribution of my work, but I would like to know if you put it on a website or the like. The files at omeyer.gmxhome.de are down until I fix the automatic PDF generation, which should be one of these days - see sourceforge.net/projects/gurpsml Onno Meyer, 2013-04-29
Dropship Mk.VI v1.0 (TL13) Copyright 2013 by Onno Meyer This armored shuttlecraft carries a squad of Space Marines or a small grav vehicle from a starship down to a planet and supports them during the initial operations. The Mk.VI has a boxy hull with small stabilizer fins. The cockpit and the main avionics bays are mounted forward, followed by the engine room with the hyperdrive and the fusion reactor, and the troops are carried in the rear, between the quad sublight thrusters and the missile/drone bays. The Dropship is very cramped, so she uses microbots for cleaning and routine maintenance -- most major work requires the removal of the damaged systems. It takes 15 seconds to recharge one pulse of the main laser, and 234 minutes to recharge the power for one hyperspace entry. Subassemblies: Body +6. Powertrain: Four 500,000-lb. vectored mega reactionless thrusters; 500-ton hyperdrive; four 500,000-lb. contragrav generators; 60-kW RTG; 125,000-kW fusion reactor; 504,000,000-kWs rechargeable power cell.
