Modular Amphibian Carrier v1.0 (TL8) Copyright 2013 by Onno Meyer This small all-terrain vehicle was designed for ease of transport and rapid deployment. It breaks down into ten sections which can be carried on personnel shuttles, portaged through narrow gates, or dropped from orbit. Wide rubber tracks give a ground pressure of less than one pound per square inch -– low enough to travel over snow or swamps. A winch helps to cross broken terrain. When the water gets deep enough, the Amphibian switches over to a hydrojet engine. The Modular Amphibian Carrier has seats for a driver and a navigator in front and two passengers in the rear. There are four side doors and two roof hatches. The cargo is stowed in several small lockers. The multifuel engine burns 1.5 gallons of diesel, gasoline, or light biofuel per hour at routine speed.
