Why not, broad cast power is one part of an idea I had to provide power to nanites and like, so they can simulate magic and like..

Came up with the idea a while back, but .. might have to fight for it now days.

the idea is to build a neuro net and power net in the person, and the powr net is what expreses most or all of the powers. Not sure of there would be a overt sign of their powers since many powers would come from the body but passing thru the skin might be a problem. Device external to allow for power projection or .. wifi at its wildest?

But yes the broadcast power source would be solar or like, either external like our sun, or internal such as a red dwarf or like, where the sphere (our world?) would be surrounding it, full solid sphere and not the loose one in some examples. Dysen had ideas for a loose or solid sphere, the idea to be able to collect as close to 100% of the solar output to power collection but how much pressure is created on a sphere or like, since suns do throw off alot of particles that can be used for a solar sail or like, means that the sphere would have internal pressure, and how to reduce it. or use it? Ballon or like inner surface is not "solid" but basically a ballon, one way to get the sphere "inflated" hum..

Maser is what Japan wants to use to send power from satellites to Earth:

Hello everybody,

I've been thinking about 3E TL9 space industry. How would one build
a solar power sat?

The solar cells are clear. A square kilometre gives 860 MW at 1 AU
from the sun. With the panel a couple thousand tons and 323 billion
$, plus the core with thrusters and the transmitter.

But how about the power transmitter? VE87 says to take a laser or
maser. Microwave sounds right, but a 430,000-kJ disruptor with
extreme range gets a mere 87,000 yards 1/2D, or 50 miles. Sixteen
square kilometres deliver 6.88 GW at 200 miles, or 3.44 GW at 600
miles.

A laser would have 655 miles range from just one square kilometre.

But I guess the price is the killer.

Or am I making a mistake somewhere?

Onno
