This is a weekly posting with GURPS vehicles (and the like) to the
GURPSnet mailing list. I grant the permission for all non-commercial
redistribution of my work, but I would like to know if you put it on
a website or the like. The files at omeyer.gmxhome.de are down until
I fix the automatic PDF generation, which should be one of these
days - see sourceforge.net/projects/gurpsml

Scout Gravbike v1.0 (TL12)
  Copyright 2013 by Onno Meyer

When a small team has to explore an entire planet, walking is not an
option. The Scout Gravbike provides transportation and a flying sensor
platform in one compact package.
The Gravbike has a cylindrical hull with an open cockpit for a single
pilot. This makes it easy to get in or out near the ground and to get a
feel for the environment -– if there is a breathable atmosphere. Space
suits are required at high speed or high altitude. An open stowage box
behind the seat can hold extra air tanks or other supplies.
The avionics include active and passive hyperspectral sensors tied to
the navigation system. Low signature hull coatings help the scout flyer
to blend into the environment. The engine and power pack were designed
for reliable operation and easy maintenance -– the isotope battery has
fuel for 14 years, without any moving parts.
