This is a weekly posting with GURPS vehicles (and the like) to the
GURPSnet mailing list. I grant the permission for all non-commercial
redistribution of my work, but I would like to know if you put it on
a website or the like. The files at omeyer.gmxhome.de are down until
I fix the automatic PDF generation, which should be one of these
days - see sourceforge.net/projects/gurpsml

Picket Ship Mk.III v1.0 (TL10)
  Copyright 2015 by Onno Meyer

The Picket Ship keeps an eye on enemy fleets or planets. Her missions
include stealthy patrols in the outer system and open attempts to trail
high value targets -- at least until the cold space war turns hot.
The nose cap of the cylindrical starship is filled with ELINT gear and
hyperspectral sensors. Next come the bridge, the galley, the cabins, and
hydroponic gardens to stretch the food supplies. There are six cryosleep
capsules to let the crew sleep through some of the patrol, or for backup
crews. The rear section holds the twin fusion reactors, the hyperdrive,
and the sublight thrusters. The life support and the electronics can be
powered by a small isotope battery when the main reactors are shut down
for silent running.
It takes 11 hours to recharge the power cell for one hyperspace entry,
or 3.5 seconds for a laser pulse. A full load of provisions is $39,600.

Subassemblies: Body +7, two full-rotation pop Turrets +2.
Powertrain: Three 200,000-lb. super reactionless thrusters; 1,500-ton
  hyperdrive; 100-kW RTG; two 160,000-kW fusion reactors;
  576,000,000-kWs rechargeable power cell.
Occ: 6 bridge RCS, 6 cabins. Cargo: 480 cf.
