Attack Walker v1.0 (TL9)
  Copyright 2010 by Onno Meyer

Bipedal walking tanks have no place in a realistic future setting, but
walkers might find their niche in supporting roles. The Attack Walker is
a cavalry AFV for scouting and screening forces, moving quickly in urban
terrain or over broken ground.
The Attack Walker has a rocket launcher and an electromag gun in each
arm, a 10mm gatling on the left and a 20mm autocannon on the right, and
two quad ATGM launchers in the body. The body also holds the MHD fusion
reactor and the seats for the pilot and co-pilot. Usually one of them
controls the movement and arm weapons while the other concentrates on
sensors and long-range missile fire.
The Walker can operate in most atmospheres and in vacuum, but it was
designed primarily for earthlike worlds.
A full load of ammunition is $208,000.

Subassemblies: Body +3, two Legs +3, two Arms +2.
Powertrain: 1,305-kW leg drivetrain; 1,500-kW MHD fusion generator; ten
  270,000-kWs rechargeable power cells.
Occ: 2 NCS.

Hostile Environment Construction Walker v1.0 (TL11)
  Copyright 2008 by Onno Meyer

The Hostile Environment variant of the Construction Walker is used to
build bases on inhabitable worlds. Instead of the roll cage of a normal

arm and hand actuators allow the Walker to replace spacesuited humans
in many jobs.

All-Terrain Walker v1.0 (TL8)
  Copyright 2006 by Onno Meyer

In the 22nd century, the All-Terrain Walker is employed where building
roads is not practical. The eight-legged mechanical spider can carry two
to four persons. The two front seats are relatively comfortable. The two
rear seats are usually folded away to create cargo space. The ATW can
reach 50 kph on roads, dirt tracks and even broken ground and swim at a
more modest 5 kph. It is powered by a superconductor storage loop which
lasts for ten hours at top speed.

Subassemblies: Body +2, eight Legs +0.
Powertrain: 5-kW leg drivetrain [Legs]; 180,000-kWs rechargeable E cell.
Occ: 1 XRCS, 1 XRS, 2 folding XCS.
