Part of the issue with Bluetooth in general is that there is a lag when
using Bluetooth headsets using A2DP. I'm not saying this is a BookSense
issue, instead it is a Bluetooth issue. For example, if I take my Bluetooth
headset and connect it to my PC, I see the same delay. Part of this is due
that using stereo Bluetooth pushes through more data, and that the
throughput is not all that fast with Bluetooth 2.0. Also, Bluetooth tends
to travel in "bursts" rather than a steady stream. So, if you pause
something, it is likely you will experience a delay. If you have used a
headset with a cell phone, they typically use the Hands-Free Protocol (HFP),
which is not A2DP, so you don't experience the same issues as this because
it doesn't send as much data, and subsequently does not have great audio
either. I'm hoping that when Bluetooth 3.0 becomes the standard in the
future in the technology field that this issue will be resolved, but who
knows for sure. I just think it's important to know that Bluetooth provides
some limitations that just can't be fixed using Bluetooth 2.0 with the A2DP
protocol.

I've noticed this sluggishness with Blue Tooth headsets too. I think
it may have something to do with the battery levels of the Booksense
and the headset. When the battery is fully charged, or even mostly
charged, things work all right. If it's really related to battery
strengths, I'm wondering how much can actually be done. However, if
something can, go for it.
