Hello, I can understand the fact that there would be some lag while playing a file on the BookSense. However, fifteen seconds is a huge amount of lag. The only way I can think of diagnosing this issue, to see where the problem is really stemming from, is to implement some sort of diagnostic mode into the XT's firmware, that plays the book both through the Bluetooth headphones and through the built-in speakers at the same time. I'm sorry I wasn't able to get to this topic sooner.... I had some medical issues during the week, was admitted to the hospital overnight and only just got around to turning my computer on again.

Part of this is due that using stereo Bluetooth pushes through more data, and that the throughput is not all that fast with Bluetooth 2.0. Also, Bluetooth tends to travel in "bursts" rather than a steady stream. So, if you pause something, it is likely you will experience a delay. If you have used a headset with a cell phone, they typically use the Hands-Free Protocol (HFP), which is not A2DP, so you don't experience the same issues as this because it doesn't send as much data, and subsequently does not have great audio either. I'm hoping that when Bluetooth 3.0 becomes the standard in the future in the technology field that this issue will be resolved, but who knows for sure. I just think it's important to know that Bluetooth provides some limitations that just can't be fixed using Bluetooth 2.0 with the A2DP protocol. I think it may have something to do with the battery levels of the Booksense and the headset. When the battery is fully charged, or even mostly charged, things work all right. If it's really related to battery strengths, I'm wondering how much can actually be done. However, if something can, go for it.
