This also happened to me Sunday night. When I backed out of the Daisy folder and tried to open it again, the BookSense said, "Daisy" and then went silent. I couldn't move to any of the subfolders within the Daisy folder. I removed the SD card. After reinserting it, it did the same thing. I did a reset and got the same thing. When all else fails, this is what I do. I went into Check Disk, checked the box that says: "Attempt to fix file system errors." After check disk was complete, I reinserted the card into the BookSense, and the card worked perfectly. Unless your card is totally corrupt, check disk will help most of the time.

I've experienced this every so often as well with random books. If
nothing happens when you press play or other buttons, you may have to
hit the recess reset key or remove and replace the battery.
Fortunately, this seems to get the Booksense back in shape and fix odd
issues like silent playing of Daisy books.

Turn right, then go straight!

        Jeremiah 29:11-14 (Amplified Bible)

11For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.

12Then you will call upon Me, and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear and heed you.

13Then you will seek Me, inquire for, and require Me [as a vital necessity] and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.(A)

14I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will release you from captivity and gather you from all the nations and all the places to which I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back to the place from which I caused you to be carried away captive.
