Yup, they play just fine. Since I don't want to pay the $20 for Winamp Pro,
I can't rip files to MP3 format in my free copy of Winamp. The default is
AAC 128kbps and they sound better than an equivalent MP3 format of the same
size. Winamp calls them M4A files, but the actual encoding is AAC and I've
played them on the Book Sense.
