John and others,

I've successfully done exactly what you are saying in order to read newsline files. I must say, though, that the process is unnecessarily cumbersome. In the Victor Stream one can simply put one or a hundred newspaper files in a single folder and the stream is smart enough to present the issues sequentially without the bother of having to create 100 separate subfolders.

Newsline is coming out with the ability simply to have new newspapers delivered to the Stream as soon as your desktop PC detects that it is plugged in. Can any GW Micro folks let us know if the Newsline auto-update service will be supported on the Book Sense?A

I believe you have to create a subfolder under the "newsline" folder into
which you would then copy the four files which comprise the specific issue
of any newspaper. For example, I receive both the Washington Post and the
New York Times via email from the NFB newsline service. Under "daisy /
newsline", I've made subfolders for "ny times" and "Washington post", which
folders, in turn, contain folders numbered "01" through "31". So, again by
way of example, all attachments to today's email transmitting the Washington
Post are copied to:

daisy\newsline\washington post\13\

This should work for you.

John

Hi,
If I put the newspaper from bookshare into my bookshare folder, it works,
but if I put the same
content into the newsline folder, it is not seen by the BookSense and does
not play.
